Well, here we are in Marrakesh.

It’s only a 6 1/2 hour flight from Washington DC to Casablanca and then a 15 minute puddle jumper to Marrakesh.

The plan is to spend a month in the country. About two weeks hiking in the Atlas mountains and another two weeks just kicking around the country.

I met with the trekking guides this evening, and they seem like great fellows.

I have a free day tomorrow to get my feet on the ground, have a look around, and get my gear ready to start the trek on Wednesday.

It feels like an adventure, and I’m up for that.
