If you’ve been out of the loop, IAFF president Ed Kelly terminated the law firm used by the union.
IAFF vice presidents fiercely loyal to Harold Schaitberger are up in arms over Kelly’s decision.
They are arguing he lacks the authority.
Funny thing, for twenty years many of these same vice presidents never contested any decision made by Schaitberger, even as they aided and abetted his swindling of the IAFF.
Now, all of a sudden, they have a new found thirst for crossing T’s and dotting I’s.
It only takes a brief read between the lines to see the reason why.
Kelly recently had this to say about the law firm termination,
The receipt of a recently issued grand jury subpoena requesting ten years’ worth of records pertaining to former General President Schaitberger has served to further convince me that the termination of MSE is necessary to protect the IAFF.
Based on that, we would be fairly safe to conclude that ten year’s worth of Schaitberger info would involve questionable decision-making and advice both on the part of the law firm and the Schaitberger-10.
No wonder the Schaitberger-10 are up in arms over the firing.
They are desperate to keep their naughty secrets, well, secret.

The same ten crying foul are the same ten voting to withhold the $1M investigative report from being released to IAFF members.
Their credibility and trustworthiness matches that of Vladimir Putin.
If your local paid a substantial sum to investigate wrongdoing and your board tried to hide it you would throw the bums out.
The same applies here, only more so.
