Putin, Trump and Fakery

Elections, war crimes, whatever

Ukraine

Hundreds of Ukrainian civilians have died in what is being called a massacre and genocide; some with their hands tied behind their back, others shot in the head.

Putin calls it fake, staged, a “hoax.”

He sounds like Donald Trump who uses the same language when referring to U.S. elections and media which are not to his liking.

Trump said Putin was a “genius” and “savvy” in his move to invade Ukraine, a country which poses no threat to Russia.

Trump supporters, including elected officials, have also backed Putin.

(By the way, if, as Trumpies say, he is no longer a political force, why do all of them clamber for his endorsement like rats on cheese?)

Of course, the evidence, be it elections, news, or atrocities in Ukraine prove both Putin and Trump not just wrong but blatant liars.

Neither is even remotely interested in democracy, decency or human rights.

If you support Trump you also support murder in Ukraine and the weakening of democracy in America.

And once again this puts many Christians on the wrong side of morality and mercy.

Both Putin and Trump are white supremacists using the rhetoric of hate to incite fear of the other as a lever to gain power and then abuse it.

(Inciting fear of the other is another classic tactic of religions and cults.)

When anyone praises either Putin or Trump, they belie their true motivation of hate and a lust for power.
