L.I. Chief Gets Felony Gun Charge
Also of FDNY Rescue 4
Aaron Martin, L.I. volunteer chief, uber FDNY firefighter, FDIC instructor — and ghost gun buyer— was busted by NY state police on his way back from a Philly buying spree.
NYP says, he was “allegedly buying an assault weapon, ammunition and “ghost gun” parts…”
The assault weapon was a Sipahi semi-automatic 12-gauge assault shotgun — things must be dicey in Roosevelt and Queens.
“Martin admitted he had attended a gun show that day and purchased a shotgun, and was on his way home, according to the complaint. He denied possession of any other firearms or gun components.”
He was tailed by a surveillance team raising the specter that the cops were tipped off by a “snitch.”
Might someone really want that spot at Rescue 4 or the Roosevelt, L.I., chief’s position?
The Roosevelt gig comes with “many benefits,” perhaps legal representation is among them.
Martin is quoted on FDNY’s website, saying, “We do God’s work. It’s a blessing every day that I come to work and I love that we’re an inspiration to all children.”
Indeed.
