I certainly agree that the Depression laid the groundwork for Hitler’s rampage as did the various political parties in Wiemar Germany.

A prime motivation of Nazis was the extermination of Jews and others; the Wiemar Constitution failed to protect them.

So far, the U.S. Constitution has subverted Trump’s worst evils; we’ll see how interested the Justices are in protecting voting rights in the months ahead.
