Thumbs up for the fallen
Relax, already — you don’t have to kill millions to be compared to Hitler.
All you have to do is rise to power by inciting your followers with the worst kind of rhetoric imaginable.
Dehumanize your opponents by referring to them as “vermin” or worse.
Taunt the disabled.
Fraternize with white supremacists and rabid nationalists and bask in the glow of their nighttime parade torches.
Oh, and say you want to be a dictator — if only for a day.
And, if time allows, visit a venerated war cemetery and ham it up in front of the memorial stones of the fallen.
While there, have your staff refer to a cemetery caretaker as a “despicable individual” who was spreading lies and “dishonoring the men and women of our armed forces.”
Finally, don’t let the fact that you not only never served but avoided the war with phony health deferments bother you— your followers don’t care — they think you’re Christ.
And just keep saying, “It’s not a cult.”
