FDNY: Boo then Boohoo

Bravest tantrum backfires

FDNY members attended a promotional ceremony last week and used the occasion to boo and heckle New York’s Attorney General Letitia James who spoke at the event.

Letitia James

NYPost reports firefighters also chanted “Trump”; AG James successfully prosecuted the Trump organization over financial misdoings.

The Seattlemedium reports:

“On Friday, Feb. 16, James nailed the twice-impeached and four-times indicted former president as Judge Arthur Engoron ruled in a civil business fraud trial against the MAGA leader, his sons, business associates, and the Trump Organization, ordering him to pay over $354 million in damages.”

Laura Kavanagh, FDNY Commissioner, will be tracking down the badboys (and girls); the entire ceremony was recorded so the task should be easy.

On the side of the “smoke-eaters” is Alan Dershowitz, the infamous constitutional lawyer who decried the track down effort by FDNY as chilling free speech.

Alan Dershowtiz and Jeffrey Epstein

Dershowitz, some will recall, was an associate of the now deceased child molester Jeffrey Epstein. Dershowitz was the recipient of one of the notorious massages at Epstein’s hideaway though he maintains he kept his underwear on.

Trump was also a big pal of Epstein’s. Epstein was obsessed with underage girls. Trump also played the field once remarking on avoiding sexually transmitted diseases, “I can’t even believe it. I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world, it is a dangerous world out there. It’s like Vietnam, sort of. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave solider.

FDNY’s heroes are horny for a guy who equates avoiding clap with serving one’s country in a war zone.

Epstein and Trump

And speaking of Vietnam, those “brave” FDNY firefighters who showed up to boo Letitia James support a man who, according to his own lawyer, chose to avoid serving his country during a war.

The Military Times reports, “Mr. Trump claimed (his medical deferment) was because of a bone spur, but when I asked for medical records, he gave me none and said there was no surgery,” Cohen told members of the House Oversight Committee. “He told me not to answer the specific questions by reporters but rather offer simply the fact that he received a medical deferment.

“He finished the conversation with the following comment: ‘You think I’m stupid, I wasn’t going to Vietnam.”

Firefighters supporting Trump defile and dishonor all who died serving our country, be they the 58,000 soldiers who gave their lives in the Vietnam War or the 343 who were killed on 9/11.

The rank hypocrisy of FDNY firefighters is one for the books.
