9/11/24: An FDNY Disgrace
Never Forget
Yesterday was the 23rd anniversary of the September 11th, 2001, attacks.
FDNY members took the opportunity to cozy up to Donald Trump whose family and businesses have close ties to the Saudi Royal Family.
NYT reports, “The Saudi sovereign wealth fund is also the primary investor in the investment firm that Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, set up after he left his post as a White House adviser to Mr. Trump.
These deals have raised allegations of conflicts of interest, particularly the deals directly involving foreign government entities, as the foreign players may be offering the Trump family special terms in exchange for potential favored treatment from Mr. Trump if he is back in power.”
If you live under a rock (or on Long Island) you may not know that while the Saudis have long been rumored to have supported the 9/11 hijackers, recent evidence gives even more credence to their involvement which killed thousands including several hundred FDNY members.
A Saudi diplomat, Fahad Al Thumairy, stationed in the Saudi consulate in Los Angeles, is said to have been the main designated contact person for al Qaeda and the hijackers in Los Angeles, according to plaintiffs’ court filings. [CNN]
The lawsuit uncovering these sobering facts was filed by the families of victims and survivors putting FDNY members on one side and families on the other.
Even Fox News reports that Brett Eagleson, head of the advocacy group 9/11 Justice says, “As we continue to push and as we continue to make noise, we’re seeing more and more evidence, smoking-gun evidence coming out about the kingdom’s role in supporting 9/11 hijackers...”
There you have it: 23 years later FDNY members, on the very anniversary of 9/11, suck up to the guy who sucks up to the guys who made it all happen.
But it’s not a cult.
Oh, and Never Forget.
